How It All Began

BBQ Blessings started in 2018 as a humble backyard passion. Our founder, Chris, began experimenting with different smoking techniques and rubs, driven by a desire to recreate the authentic competition-style barbecue he experienced traveling through Texas and the Carolinas.

What began as weekend cookouts for friends and family quickly grew into something more. The word spread about the incredible flavors coming from that backyard smoker, and soon neighbors were asking to place orders for their own gatherings.

In 2020, we entered our first BBQ competition and took home 1st place for our ribs. That victory confirmed what our early customers already knew - we had something special. The demand continued to grow, leading us to establish BBQ Blessings as a full-time venture serving the Vancouver community.

Today, we're proud to be Vancouver's go-to destination for competition-quality BBQ, but we've never lost sight of our roots. Every brisket, every rack of ribs, every pound of pulled pork is still prepared with the same passion and attention to detail that started in that backyard.

Head Pitmaster & Founder

With over 15 years of barbecue experience, Chris has dedicated his life to mastering the art of smoked meats. His journey began in Texas, where he learned traditional smoking techniques from third-generation pitmasters. Chris has competed in over 25 BBQ competitions across the Pacific Northwest, earning multiple awards including 1st Place Ribs at the Pacific Northwest BBQ Championship.
